Louka Hoogendijk (1993) is a Dutch director and screenwriter. She studied at the Dutch Film Academy in Amsterdam. 

Her work focuses on exploring physical and nonverbal languages. It is feminist at heart, and she uses the human body, organisms, and landscapes as intuitive dramaturgical elements in her stories.

Her debut short film, Noor, premiered at the Alé Kino International Film Festival and the Chicago International Film Festival. In addition, it was selected for Cinematheque Passion’s focus program on female Dutch filmmakers in Macau. In 2022, Louka made the short documentary Infinite Lines, which aired on national television and premiered at the Cinehill-Motovun Film Festival in 2023.

Her most recent short film, Summer Souvenir, produced by Family Affair Films, was included in the SEEnl selection of the best Dutch short films. It premiered in the Best Dutch Film competition at the GO Short Film Festival 2025 and was selected in the Dutch competition for Best Dutch Short at the NFF. Its international premiere took place at the Evolution Film Festival in Mallorca.

 

Currently, she is working on a short film and her debut feature film, both in collaboration with Family Affair Films.
