Louka Hoogendijk (1993) is a Dutch filmmaker and art painter.
Her work is focussed on exploring the physical, non-verbal and verbal languages we use to define and imagine various realities through the medium of film. With this research, she creates cinematic poetry that gives an authentic access into the complex aspects of our mind.

After her studies at the Dutch Film Academy she worked in The Netherlands, New York and Los Angeles as a production designer and assistent director on multipal projects such as the documentary series 'Seeds of Deceit'. (premiered at Sundance 2021).
Louka's debut short fiction film 'Noor' had its premiere Alé Kino International Film Festival 2022 and Chicago International 2022 film festival and is selected for Short Cutz Amsterdam and the Dutch focus in Cinematheque Passion Macau. In 2022 she made Infinite Lines, a short poetic documentary selected for competition Cinehill-Motovun Film Festival 2023. She is currently working on a new short with production company Family Affair Films.
